Looking at these pix four words inexplicably came to mind: “Oh planet, my planet.”
My eye wanders from gentle waves on the beaches of Montecito, up past the castles and quirks of humanity to the ridge with snowy peaks peeking from behind. So relaxing and refreshing to remember being in that moment.
Doing a telephoto shot like this is how I imagine an eagle looking for prey. They cruise in “wide angle” and noting a movement they zoom in to decide whether it’s worth flying over for a closer look. Of course, I don’t get to see the pix until we’re back on the ground so often we just fly over for the closer look regardless. 🙂
Turning my head like that hawk, I glance toward Carp and focus on yet another slice of the planet spread before our feet. It’s like floating around in a magic bubble with scenes of wonder in every direction.
