What a wonderful experience today flying next to and around the area of the Native American pueblo community of Acoma in New Mexico, shortly before landing in Albuquerque in gusting winds! We’re staying with friends who’ve had a delightful dinner party. After not much sleep last night, I’m just writing to say we’re safely here after a great flight. We’ll share some photos at another point in the trip of the amazing stone creations and historic town of Acoma.
We traveled there years ago in our previously-owned 280Z and were able to drive to it (now there is a bus people must take to tour it). I LOVED seeing this from the air, realizing we never would have imagined at that point when we were on the ground, that we would someday fly our previously-owned plane around it…Incredible!
