We’ve been looking up a lot the last few days. Partly perhaps because we’ve not flown for a while, but maybe more due to the great cloudscapes. The fanciful shapes behind a “murder of crows” in the palm tree added to our fascination. Guess they were picking bugs off the stalk, because three of them were working intently on something.
We took a quick drive into town across “our” bridge on Foothill over Stevens Park, and as usual we looked toward the mountains and then the islands to vote on our favorite view of the moment. The mountains had an accent of spectacular clouds.
The islands offered a more serene cloudscape and a contemplative dusting of haze on the water. Reminds me of a dessert they used to serve at the El Encanto restaurant named Floating Island.
We also spent some time looking down at our low roses, and this Double Delight found its way into the kitchen where the delicately powerful aroma graces the cooking.
