Big Red Tide

I was amazed at the amount of red tide we saw today.  We have seen red tide from the air before, but never near this amount. ~ Anne

  1. We couldn’t find any documentation of this red tide anywhere, The readers at redtideflorida.org are wanting to see more. I’ve linked to this page in a post but I was wondering if we could “reprint” some of them here? Have you heard any official source talking about the red tide you spotted that I just missed?
    Thanks

    • I haven’t seen any other mention of it either, but it was pretty massive and there were smaller parts elsewhere along the coast. I think there was some discussion on my Edhat post about it, and maybe on my Photo Page (Flickr) if I posted any there (see links to those sites in the right column here). [UPDATE: you can see some red tide in the distance, in the first pic of the "Joy Day" post here] I probably have a few other less-striking photos of them from the flight, so use the Contact link here to email me if you’d like me to take a look for them. I appreciate you not just “stealing” the pix on my websites, and prefer to keep them here rather than “reprint” if that works for you (assuming you can just embed links to display them on your site with photo credit). Hey, I’m curious why the Florida group is tracking CA events – is it now a national or international group that just started out there?
